Whether you are planning a trip to Comanche, relocating, or just needing a bit of information, the Comanche Chamber of Commerce & Agriculture Welcomes You!

Named for the Comanche Indians, Comanche County was established in 1856—the City was incorporated in 1858.  Nestled in the hills of Central Texas, Comanche boasts of antique & gift shops, great restaurants, over 150 rooms in our lodging facilities, art gallery, museum, library, pecans, winery, special events, historical preservation & markers, plus lots more.  See the new building facades, “The Fleming Oak” and “Old Cora” on the Courthouse Square.

Comanche is a community where history is celebrated and the present is progressive.

Comanche’s economy is based primarily on agriculture. Great fishing, camping, water sports and golf can be found at nearby Lake Proctor.  Hunting is terrific for deer, quail, dove, duck and wild turkey.
