Comanche County Sesquicentennial 1856 — 2006

One hundred and fifty years after she first began her service to Comanche County, a small log structure affectionately known as “Old Cora” sits unassumingly beneath the branches of the Fleming Oak, which like "Old Cora" has seen its share of history. What better way to celebrate the Sesquicentennial Birthday of Comanche County than by honoring both of these icons.

The Comanche Chamber of Commerce and Agriculture proudly presents a commemorative medallion that can be passed down from generation to generation.

This 24k gold plated silver medallion features the Comanche County Seal on one side while the reverse side captures the heart and soul of Comanche county, "Old Cora" and the Fleming Oak.

These medallions are not just for collectors, but a reminder of our rich history.

The proof medallion is .999 Fine Silver, weighs 1 Troy Ounce, is 39 mm in size, 2.9 mm thick and selectively plated with 24k gold. Each coin is sealed in a clear Lucite protective capsule and encased in a leatherette display box—with a Certificate of Authenticity.

To purchase one or more of these fine pieces of art, go by the Comanche Chamber of Commerce office at 100 Indian Creek Dr. The cost is only $80.00 each.
